They will forget what you said. They will forget what you did. But they will never forget how you made them feel. Maya Angelou
Working in the field of body image and eating issues for several years, Alee needed to reconnect with the human body in a way that enabled her to shift the focus and to find a more liberating perspective. She began attending life drawing sessions as a way to reimagine ‘the body’ and in 2014 enrolled in a Bachelor of Visual Arts with QCA (Southbank, Queensland College of Art, Griffith University) in an effort to deepen my theoretical knowledge and expand my art practice. Art offers a way of looking and thinking about the world. For Alee, Art is also a an important practice that helps to examine relationships with the world and other living beings. Through her work she aim to encourage creativity, joy, positivity and hope to inspire those who enjoy her work to create a peaceful and generative relationship with their bodies.
